Kapit
Location
Location: Kapit Division is located in the interior of Sarawak, along the Rajang River, the longest river in Malaysia. It is known as the heartland of the Iban people.
Historical Background:
Kapit was originally a trading post for indigenous tribes, established by Rajah Charles Brooke in 1880.
The Iban warrior Rentap led resistance against the White Rajahs in this region.
