Bintulu
Location
Location: Bintulu Division is located on the northwest coast of Sarawak, between Sibu and Miri. It is an important industrial hub and home to Malaysia’s Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) industry.
Historical Background:
Originally a small fishing village, Bintulu developed rapidly in the 1970s due to the discovery of offshore natural gas.
It is now home to one of the world’s largest LNG production facilities.
