Location
Location: Miri Division is located in northern Sarawak, bordering Brunei and the South China Sea. It is known as Sarawak’s Oil Capital.
Historical Background:
Oil was discovered in Miri in 1910, making it the first oil town in Malaysia.
Miri is also the gateway to UNESCO-listed Gunung Mulu National Park.
