Local Tropical Fruits – Maran is known for its durian, rambutan, and mangosteen plantations. The district produces some of the best durians in Pahang.

Tempeh & Soya Products – Due to the significant Javanese community in the area, tempeh (fermented soybean cake) and other soy-based products are widely enjoyed.

Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak – A famous Pahang dish made of catfish cooked in a durian-based gravy.

Cascading waterfalls and forest trails – Maran has several lesser-known but beautiful waterfalls and hiking trails.
