ETYMOLOGY

Theories of Origin

1. Turban Theory:

• One popular theory is that the name “Seremban” is linked to the turban (“serban” in Malay) worn by early Muslim settlers or traders in the area. These settlers might have been distinguished by their turbans, which led locals to refer to the settlement as “Seremban.”
